5 July, 1946...a TRUE date that should live in Infamy!!

French engineer Louis Réard introduced the modern bikini. It modeled by Micheline Bernardini, on July 5, 1946, the name for his design borrowing from the Bikini Atoll, where post-war testing on the atomic bomb were taking place.
