Back to cube hell!

Well, it was a good run.  The whole Wuhan/Corona/Covid virus thing pushed me out of my office for 4 1/2 months.  Got the call on Wednesday as I was driving back from dropping the youngest off at college (more on that story later) that I was expected to be back in the office the next morning.  They moved me to another section of the office building which required me to move all my stuff (who knew you could collect that much junk in a year?) to my new cube.  

Not so bad really being back, although I do miss my afternoon naps!!!

Life Lessons

Number 27 has been one that i have tried hard to follow my entire life.  Why make thing complicated?  I understand some thing have to be but not everything.

I need reservations there more than ever these days!!

The arrow points to everything we know...everyone who has ever lived and died, every achievement great and small....all on that tiny little blue speck we call Earth.  

 Amazing to me how many in this world do not have even 5 of these ten items.  If you have 7, you are doing well.  If you have all 10?  You are truly blessed.

Yep...pretty much my prayers and how God answers them.

With all that is going on in the world these days....this is very relevent!

Gears

This has explained a lot to me about the workings of things people take for granted.  Damned near everything we touch these days has some sort of gear in it.  

Sound of leather.....

 

Simple truth right here.  That sound is permanently embedded in your memory.  When my Dad passed away I found that damned black leather belt with its silver belt buckle.  I am sure my DNA was all over its length!  I hung it in a storage shed I had to store my car in when stationed overseas. It hung there for 12 years before I came back to pick up the car and take it home.  When I got to the shed it had dry rotted to the point that the buckle was still hanging but the belt was on the floor.  Fitting end to that thing.  Not saying I did not deserve every one of the lickings I took...but ultimate vengeance was mine!!!!
